  • Deployment of industrial-grade LoRaWAN pressure sensors, selected for their durability, accuracy, and compatibility with remote infrastructure. 
  • Implementation of a secure and stable LTE connection enabling resilient MQTT-based data transmission in challenging signal environments. 
  • Custom engineering of data transformation ensuring pressure readings are converted into Pressure Head values in meters, aligning with SES Water’s analytical standards.

Results

  • The installed LoRaWAN pressure & Power sensors to provide consistent and accurate readings of water pressure & power draw.

  • Pressure data was visualised using graphs and charts to detect anomalies such as leaks, or abnormal pressure drops and report on pump efficiencies. 

  • The collected sensor data was sent to Hubit’s visualisation platform, where it was formatted and displayed in an intuitive dashboard for rapid identification of anomalies and pressure trends.

Through the deployment of a LoRaWAN-based pressure monitoring system, SES Water resolved key challenges around data accuracy, transmission integrity, and operational visibility. The solution replaced manual monitoring with an integrated, real-time telemetry framework, delivering continuous, reliable pressure data across critical infrastructure. 

Hubits’ approach combined robust sensor technology and tailored data transformation, converting raw inputs into Pressure Head (m) for direct use in SES Water’s engineering analysis. CT power clamps were integrated alongside pressure sensors to track the operational status of water pumps, identifying any anomalies in usage patterns.

This allowed control teams to identify deviations, prioritise interventions, and reduce the time to detect and resolve issues such as leaks or abnormal pressure loss. 

Data is visualised in an intuitive dashboard, providing continuous situational awareness and supporting informed decision-making. The outcome is a fully operational, low-maintenance system that delivers precise insights with minimal manual input.
