Hubit supported SES Water in advancing their approach to mainline pressure monitoring with a scalable, integrated IoT deployment. Digital Matter Hawk loggers were selected for their low-power operation and robust cellular connectivity, paired with custom push-fit pressure sensors chosen for infrastructure compatibility and reliable data transmission.

Rather than focusing solely on pressure drops, the system tracks pressure trends over time, enabling pattern-based analysis and comparisons across sites. Data is transmitted via API into SES Water’s existing platform, with Hubit’s role centred on introducing a flexible, integration-focused approach.

A specialist water hygiene contractor required a more efficient way to manage Legionella compliance across a growing portfolio of residential and commercial buildings. Their existing approach relied on scheduled site visits to manually measure water temperatures at calorifiers, cold water tanks, and sentinel outlets. While effective for periodic checks, this model created operational pressure as the client base expanded and left potential compliance gaps between inspections. 

Hubit designed and deployed a fully wireless monitoring system to provide continuous visibility of water temperatures across each building. Using low-power LoRaWAN connectivity, sensors transmit temperature data to a cloud platform accessible through a real-time dashboard. The system continuously monitors key assets and records temperature readings automatically, providing accurate and consistent monitoring without increasing operational workload. 

A provider of environmental monitoring solutions required a reliable method to deliver real-time weather data from field deployments to end clients. Their monitoring systems use Lufft WS600 compact weather stations, capable of measuring rainfall, wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, dew point, and barometric pressure. These stations communicate using RS485 Modbus, a widely used industrial protocol that requires specialist integration to connect with modern cloud platforms. 

Hubit designed an end-to-end data transmission and monitoring solution using the Digital Matter Hawk Pro data logger. The device reads sensor data directly from the weather station via RS485 Modbus and transmits it over cellular networks to Hubit’s cloud platform. The architecture removes the need for fixed network infrastructure and enables weather stations to operate reliably in remote locations.
